Venmo – 2020
Venmo has revolutionized the way money is exchanged in the modern world. Throughout the history of the space-defining app, little has changed visually and new features are slow to be executed.
Could rethinking the way millennials use the service lead to a better designed mobile product?
I conducted a series of studies amongst peers to see how people really use the app, what functionality did they wish was available, and how many fintech apps they were currently using. Based on the results of this study I developed, designed, and implemented new features such as reoccurring payments, recent people, and future payment scheduling.
With these new features users will not only make the service a one-stop-shop in the financial tech space but keep users coming back to handle day-to-day banking.
